There’s a specific kind of panic that can hit when a new platform starts taking off.

You start seeing people talk about it everywhere.

You start wondering if you’re “behind.”

You start thinking maybe you need a whole new content plan for a whole new platform — on top of everything else you’re already doing. 😵‍💫

And if you’ve ever tried to build a presence on a new platform from scratch, you know how heavy that can feel. (Especially when you are a coach or a service provider, you spend time with clients / on client deliverables, and you have *limited* time for marketing.)

But here’s what I’ve learned after building my business over 9+ years, through multiple platform shifts:

The people who can move fastest — and stay the most consistent on a new platform — aren’t creating brand new content every time they show up somewhere new.

👉🏼 Instead, they’re delivering the same core ideas in new formats.

In this blog post, I’m going to walk you through:

  • How I’ve been able to go “all in” on new platforms — (like Facebook groups, Clubhouse, Threads… Yes, I’m that old. 😉 — without needing any new content
  • The exact asset I built, that makes this possible (Spoiler: It’s my capsule blog library.)
  • Why this approach makes new platforms feel exciting instead of overwhelming
  • How you can build this kind of “platform-proof” content foundation in your own business, too.

Let’s get into it…

How my capsule blog helps me quickly get ROI from any new platform:

One of the things I love most about having a capsule blog library is this:

It’s platform-agnostic. And it’s trend-proof.

A capsule blog library is an intentionally-small collection of 12–20 evergreen blog posts. They cover all the key things your audience needs to hear, learn, and understand — to feel ready to buy your offer.

Once you build your capsule blog, you stop writing new blog posts. And you focus on leveraging them: Repurposing them to other areas of your marketing.

I developed this system years ago, back in my booked-out DFY days — and I still use it today.

And yes…

It’s *the* reason I can lean into new platforms quickly… without panic-creating content… and without falling back onto the content treadmill.

It’s the reason I can be an early adopter on a platform (if I want to) and quickly get ROI from it… Meaning people will start discovering me there, joining my list, and buying my offers.

Because here’s the big mistake people make on new platforms: They re-invent the wheel.

Most people think: New platform = New content.

But I don’t.

I think: New platform = New delivery method for existing, high-converting, core ideas.

Let’s take a little stroll down memory lane, and I’ll give you some examples… 😎😎😎

Facebook Groups, Circa 2018

Early on, when I was selling Pinterest setups, I repurposed my blog posts into short, helpful micro-posts inside other people’s Facebook groups.

That strategy alone brought me a steady stream of Pinterest clients — using almost entirely repurposed blog content.

Clubhouse, Circa 2021

Oh, the heady days of Clubhouse… (If you know, you know!)

When it was the place to be, I used my blog posts to decide what rooms to open, what to title them, and what to talk about once I was live.

Each room was essentially a blog post — spoken. I used my posts as talking points, led conversations around those ideas, grew my list massively, and made sales — again, mostly by repurposing content I’d already written.

Threads, 2026

These days, I’m loving Threads. I’ve built a solid following there, and I’m able to use it to get people reading my blog, grow my list, and make sales pretty consistently.

And most of what I post there? Repurposed content.

Sometimes it’s:
• A gem-pull from a blog section
• A reframed blog intro and CTA to read the post
• A spicy belief statement I uncovered by writing my blogs
• A simplified version of a framework I cover in-depth in a blog

The ideas are seldom new. The packaging is.

That’s the magic of a capsule blog.

When a new platform shows up — or when I decide to go all-in somewhere — I’m never starting from zero.

I already have cohesive, high-converting messages to pull from.

(Oh and by the way… I am NOT someone who believes in showing up “everywhere.” There have been plenty of shiny new platforms that I’ve ignored. Looking at you, Substack! But on the occasion when I did really like a certain platform, and I thought it could make me money, I was able to *CHOOSE* to go all-in on it. 🙂

But anyway… Point is: No matter where I’ve decided to show up over the years, my capsule blog library has always given me exactly what I needed.

(I mean… think about it… Your audience doesn’t magically need new beliefs every time a new app launches. They still need to:
• Understand their problem clearly
• See why past solutions didn’t work
• Trust your approach
• See what’s possible for them
• Believe you’re the right person to help

That doesn’t change just because a new platform is trending!)

Oh and also… Because of my capsule blog, I’ve also been able to delegate social media posting, to grow faster. More on that next…

(Pssssst…. You can 📌 pin this article for reference to your “Pinterest marketing” board:)

How to pin your Instagram content to Pinterest

I’ve been able to delegate social media posting, without losing my voice.

My capsule blog is also what has made delegation possible for me.

For example, this past year I’ve experimented with hiring a Threads agency to do some of my posting — especially when I’m gearing up for a launch and want to crank up the visibility a bit.

It worked great!

Instead of saying, “Hey, post some stuff for me,” I said: “Here’s my blog. These are my best ideas. Please repurpose this into content for this platform!”

Clean. Clear. Consistent.

(If you want more details about how to delegate or outsource this, read my related blog post: How to delegate a social media channel, without losing your voice or wasting money.)

What This All Means, If You Want To Go All-In On A Platform

If you’re thinking about going all-in on some new-fangled platform…

Or you just want to be ready if you happen to fall in love with one…

Or even if you want to re-commit to an existing platform that used to work well for you…

You do not need to:

Create brand-new ideas. Invent new messaging or a whole new content strategy. (You don’t need to “educate on Mondays, connect on Wednesdays, sell on Fridays LOL).

No need to start from scratch. Or totally rebuild your authority again.

What you *do* need is:

A small, powerful capsule blog library of the right content.

Then you can show up anywhere — and dominate that platform. And get ROI on your time spent there, fast.
